4 Dessert Inspired Smoothie Recipes to Kickstart 2021!

A new year has begun, and many of us are using this time to end bad habits and begin a healthier lifestyle. Over this past year, I started a “fitness journey” of my own that spiraled into a “lifestyle journey.” While I was able to eliminate many unhealthy habits from my life, I was (and still am) unable to get rid of my sweet tooth. Which by the way, is totally fine. Living a healthy lifestyle is all about balance, and listening to your cravings, so don’t stress if you have a cookie (or three!). However, I also found that my body feels it’s best when I eat nutritious food that makes me feel good, which led me to an incredible discovery: The Dessert Smoothie. Over the past few months, I can confidently say I have found a way to incorporate some of my favorite healthy foods while satisfying my sweet tooth. In today’s post, I will be sharing some of my favorite dessert-inspired smoothies that are both nutritious and delicious. Let’s get to blending, shall we…



Cinnamon Roll Smoothie

This is yummy smoothie is filled with fall flavors!

1 Frozen Banana

1 Date, Pitted

1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon (Add more to taste if you would like)

1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 Teaspoon Chia Seeds

3 Ice Cubes

1/8 Cup Plant Milk Or Water (Add more if needed)

Blend all the ingredients together until the desired consistency is reached. Top with extra cinnamon and enjoy!


Key Lime Pie Smoothie

I was inspired by Mia Swinehart (@gatherednutrition on ig) for this delicious recipe! Taste like a summer day :)

1/4 Frozen Avocado

1 Frozen Banana

1 Handful of Spinach

Lime Juice of 1 Lime

Lime Zest (to taste)

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1 “Scoop” of Vanilla Protein Powder

3 Ice Cubes

1/8 Cup of Plant Milk Or Water (Add more if needed)

Blend all the ingredients together until the desired consistency is reached. Top with granola, cinnamon, lime zest and enjoy!


Reece’s PB Cup Smoothie

Taste JUST like candy. I swear.

1 Frozen Banana

1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter

1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder

2 Tablespoon Cacao Powder

3 Ice Cubes

Blend all the ingredients together until the desired consistency is reached. Top with cacao nibs and enjoy!


Mixed Berry Shortcake Smoothie

Calling all fruit lovers…

1/2 Frozen Banana

1 1/4 Cup of Frozen Strawberries, Blueberries, Cherries, and Blackberries

1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds

1 “Scoop” of Vanilla Protein Powder (Optional)

Blend all the ingredients together until the desired consistency is reached. Top with chia seeds or granola and enjoy!
