fresh strawberry lemonade for spring
Spring is finally here, at least in Los Angeles, so its time to go out to the garden and pick lemons for the best refreshment out there, lemonade. What I love about lemonade is that there are so many memories attached to the drink. My mom handing me a cup after a soccer game, selling it at my first bake sale, and drinking the rest with my brother because we only made five dollars from the sale. Whatever the situation was, having a cool cup of lemonade in my hand made everything better. Today, it was a lovely, spring afternoon, the perfect time for lemonade! On this blog post, I'll be sharing my recipe for making the most amazing strawberry lemonade that you can drink as you cherish spring memories with your loved ones!
Here is what you will need:
1) 4-5 lemons
2) 2 cups of water
3) 1/2 a cup-1 cup of sugar-this all depends on how sour you like your lemonade
4) 5 strawberries
5) 10 ice cubes
6) a medium-sized pitcher
8) Long, wooden spoon to stir
Squeeze lemons into a medium sized pitcher. Add water and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Mash strawberries over a strainer into the pitcher, add strawberry juice and the strawberry "mush" into the pitcher. Add ice, stir, and enjoy!
